Festuca arundinacea is commonly known as tall fescue. It is a C3 grass, which implies it generally better in cooler conditions, and is commonly called a cool-season grass. This grass is planted as a turf grass in many homes in Los Angeles, but here is SLC, it is often a blemish in a lawn. I find this odd because it is another green grass in a green lawn, but it does have a different texture that makes prefect lawn lovers unhappy.
